Officer's Report
The site lies between Howe Road and Truggan Road with the house itself lying alongside the latter and an outbuilding (possibly a garage) alongside Howe Road.
Proposed here is the changing of an existing door and window on the rear elevation with a window and a door and the extension of decking at the first floor, presently extending only around the door in the centre to almost the full width of the house. This decking leads out onto the rear garden.
Whilst the additional decking to the east may facilitate looking over the rear garden of "Cronk Mooar", the nature of the existing rear garden of the application property already reduces the amount of privacy enjoyed by both properties. However, confirmation of the neighbour's acceptance of this should be obtained.
I wrote to the neighbour on 13th April, 2005 but have received no response. I will assume that they have no objection.
