This application relates to an end terrace property in Strathallan Crescent, Douglas which is within the Douglas Promenades Conservation Area.

The proposal is to replace windows in the side and rear elevations with white upvc casement windows.

The side and rear elevations are not readily visible from a public thoroughfare and therefore the policy is that they should have the same pattern of glazing bars as the original but not necessarily the same method of opening or material.

The glazing pattern will remain the same and the proposed changes are considered to be acceptable.
