Noise limits from plant/machinery
The rating level of noise emitted from any plant or machinery, shall not exceed LAeq, 1 hour - 55dB daytime (0700 - 2300) and LAeq, 5 minute - 45dB night time (2300 - 0700) as measured at the boundary of any noise-sensitive premises. The rating level shall be measured and calculated in accordance with BS 4142:1997. N.B. Plant or machinery includes any refrigeration or ventilation plant.
Ventilation rates
The public bar area shall achieve 10 - 15 air changes per hour. In areas where heavy smoking occurs this requirement shall be increased by 50% to 15 - 22.5 air changes per hour.
