Officer’s Report
This application relates to Shoprite supermarket on Victoria Road, Douglas.
The proposal is to install a new ATM machine in the front elevation immediately adjacent to the main entrance to the store.
A previous application for an ATM machine (PA 04/01500) was submitted to locate an ATM on the side of the building but this location was considered to be less suitable from a security point of view since it was in an area not illuminated and less visible to passers by. This application was withdrawn and the ATM is now shown at the front of the building where there will be greater illumination and it will be more visible making it a safer location.
The ATM is considered to be acceptable in this location.
