A summer house/garden shed is proposed in the rear garden (3m x 2.4m). This rear garden area is next to the road and whilst there is a sod bank forming the boundary, the shed would be visible from the highway.
The shed has already been erected and whilst the need for a shed is understandable, it is judged that the proposed shed is too large. It is noted that the site plan and the photographs do not appear to show the shed in the same position.

R 1. The proposed summerhouse/shed of the proposed size in the rear garden would be prominent when viewed from the public highway. As such the shed would detract from the character and appearance of the area to the detriment of visual amenity.
2. The applicant should note that the photographs submitted in support of the application appear to indicate the shed in a slightly different position to that shown on the site plan.
