Kelly Objection Letter
Ocean Vista Station Road Kirk Michael IM6 1HB Isle of Man
20th October 04
To Planning Department, IOM Government Copy Michael Commissioners
With Reference to Planning no: 04/2081/C – Mr E Collister, Burchfield Farm, Station Road, Kirk Michael.
We would like to lodge an official objection to the above planning for change of use of this Farm Building into a building for “Restoration and repair of Classic Cars”. Mr Collister claims this is for hobby purposes, and has had permission for one year now. Yet, if this is the case, then why has he not restored one single vehicle in this past year?
If as Mr Collister claims, Mr Warrilow is a qualified auto mechanic, does he have the relevant certificates to prove it, and that these cars would be roadworthy?
For the past two years Mr Warrilow has been using this property as a scrap yard, and we have full conviction that he will continue to use the property for scrapping cars, not restoring them if planning permission is approved. The property has been tidied up only once during the past two years, and this was in September 2004, in view of the above planning application.
In order to reach the above property, Mr Warrilow has to use a section of Private Road. This Private Road is owned by ourselves, and we are of the opinion that enough heavy traffic has passed this way with the construction of Mr Collister Jr’s Bungalow, and where it now appears he is running his business from.
Yours faithfully,
Mr & Mrs N. E. Kelly
N. E. Kelly E. J. Kelly.
