Officer’s Report

This application seeks approval for the erection of a garden shed in the rear garden of a detached property in Lezayre.

The proposed shed is modest in scale and I consider it to be unobjectionable. Lezayre Parish Commissioners have objected to the application on the grounds that a detailed site plan including accurate tree survey and details of proposed tree planting has not been provided. It was apparent to me that the proposed shed would not require the removal of any trees and sought clarification of the issue from the applicant. Any further tree planting is not merited by the proposed development. The applicant duly confirmed that no existing trees or their root structure will be affected by the building.

I recommend that the application be approved.

C 3. The shed hereby permitted by this approval shall only be used for purposes ancillary to the enjoyment of the associated dwelling.
