In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr L Chatel Proposal: Alterations to garden to increase existing paved area (in association with PA 04/01813/CON), at: Holly Bank Little Switzerland Douglas
which was considered on 10 December 2004, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The additional paving, and the consequent parking, in front of this fine Baillie Scott house would affect adversely the appearance and character of the building.
NOTE Since these works have already been undertaken, within 3 months of this decision becoming final the site must be restored to its original condition; the applicant should consult the Department's Conservation Officer hereon.
NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.

- the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or
- any review of the initial decision has been completed; or
