Re: PA 04/1455 – Conversion of shop back into residential unit, Part of 42 Main Road, Onchan

I am directed to advise you that the above application was considered at the Onchan District Commissioners meeting held on Wednesday 28th July 2004.

The Commissioners recommend that the application be REFUSED for the following reasons:-

> "Whilst the Commissioners have no objection to the principle of the application to convert the property to residential accommodation, it is unclear from the submitted information as to the extent of the works involved which is particularly relevant if any new construction or change to the external appearance of the property is envisaged as the property is located in the existing Onchan Village Conservation Area."
