REVIEW DECISION

Planning Committee resolved to confirm the initial refusal. Review reasons for refusal amended to:

1. The Planning Committee is not persuaded that the size of this holding and its level of operation are sufficient to justify setting aside the normal presumption against new residential development in the countryside.

1. Notwithstanding the above, the siting of the new dwelling is not adjacent to any buildings within the existing farm group and as such fails to comply with the advice given in Planning Circular 3/88 and could lead to further applications in the future for removal of any agricultural restriction which may be imposed on any new property.
