The application seeks approval in principle for the erection of a dwelling on a parcel of land adjacent to a dwelling known as Sheeoil on the Jurby Road in Lezayre.
Permission was previously sought and refused in 1992 for the erection of two dwellings on the site. The land is not zoned for residential development and the proposed dwelling does not replace any existing dwelling. Accordingly, I recommend the application be refused on the grounds that it is contrary to policy.
