Officer's Report
Ballacurn Mooar is in an elevated position, sited off the southern end of Cobb Lane. The site commands excellent views over Ballaugh, Michael and the north-western coastline.
Approval was granted under PA 99/1167 for the conversion of the barns to form additional living accommodation.
A conservatory is now proposed which is of a size and design which would be totally out of keeping with the barns as converted. In the Commissioners' own words, it would be a 'blot on the landscape'.
