Officer's Report
It is proposed to construct a first floor extension over an existing attached garage at 8 The Willows, Ballasalla. The property is a large two storey detached dwelling, and the extension will be constructed over the existing garage. Whilst there is a property located to the rear, this is side on to the dwelling and some 18 m from the garage.
The property faces onto a small cul-de-sac of similar dwellings in terms of size and massing, and I consider the proposed extension to be acceptable within the streetscape and without detriment to residential amenity.
