REASONS FOR REFUSAL
Application Ref No: 04/00560/PART
- The increase in height of the approved garage would result in an unattractive and unbalanced building which would detract from the appearance of the site.
- The creation of what is referred to as a games room of the size proposed would be tantamount to a sizeable new residential unit in an area where such development is not normally encouraged. The existing dwelling is not insubstantial and the Planning Committee is not aware of any reason why the games room could not be provided within the existing dwelling or any of the approved extensions to it.
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
