Officer's Report

The cottage is close to the junction of Mines Road and the Main Road through Foxdale. An extension was permitted under PA 02/591. Proposed now are replacement windows in uPVC. The glazing pattern would match the existing (the upper windows would be side opening casements, the lower windows would be top third opening casements).

The previous approval (Condition 6) stated that the windows of the extension must be timber framed. Given that this is not a Conservation Area and that the original windows have been lost, it is judged that the proposed glazing pattern and material is acceptable.
