Officer's Report
Approval is sought to hold an open air market on the car park area associated with Wiseman Carpets, Station Road, Port Erin.
The site is within an area zoned as Mixed Use in the Port Erin Plan and adequate parking area would remain within the site.
Whilst I am concerned regarding the visual impact of the proposal within the streetscene, I do not consider this sufficient reason to refuse the proposal and would accordingly recommend approval, albeit for a twelve month period only to assess the impact.
