Officer's Report

The application is for the erection of a polytunnel in field 210546 in Jurby. The polytunnel, which is 5.48m wide, 2.9m high and 23.75m long, is to be used for small-scale fruit and vegetable growing.

Whilst the land adjacent to the application site is recognised as a nature reserve DAFF's Wildlife Section has no objections to the proposal. I consider that the proposal will have a limited impact on the area and is acceptable as agricultural development within the countryside. I recommend that the proposal be approved.
