Policy R/R/P3
Policy presumes against development of sites providing attractive, natural 'breathing' spaces between established residential buildings, often including trees or green space. Officer assessed the site does not fulfil this role and can accommodate a modest bungalow without harm. Interpretation differed from previous appeal Inspector who found it contributed to amenity.

ObjectionApplications for planning approval for this plot have, in the past, been rejected as they were contrary to the proposed policy of Para 3:14 of the 1998 Ramsey Local Plan Written Statement.; I would contend that any dwelling of more than one storey would overlook both my garden and the principal entry to my house and thus have an adverse effect on my privacy.; on the plot there is a large, well established chestnut tree which the Committee might feel should be protected.
Conditions requested: responsibility for the hedges bordering the lane and my garden remains with the owner of the plot in question
Mr & Mrs Corner
ObjectionWe wish to express our concerns about any building that would affect light entering our kitchen window which is adjacent to the proposed plot.; We also note that planning permission on this site was previously refused as it was classed as an existing open space in a residential area.
