Local Government (Control of Advertisements) Bylaws 1952
The bylaws govern the erection of hoardings and display of advertisements. The approval was granted in compliance with the bylaws' requirements, including maintenance in clean/tidy/safe condition, no obstruction of traffic signs, and owner permission. Specific conditions enforced these standards, with the proposal found acceptable as standard signage.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall be commenced before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Maintenance - clean and tidy
Any advertisements displayed and any land used for the display of advertisements shall be maintained in a clean and tidy condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the Committee.
Maintenance - safe condition
Any hoarding or similar structure or any sign, placard, board or device erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a safe condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the Committee.
No obstruction of traffic signs
Any advertisement hoarding shall not be sited or displayed so as to obscure or hinder the ready interpretation of any road traffic sign, railway signal or signal for the control of safety of navigation by water or air, or so as to render hazardous the use of any highway, railway or airfield.
Owner permission
Before any advertisement is sited or displayed on any land, the permission of the owner of the land, or a person entitled to grant such permission, shall be obtained.
Approved plans
This approval relates to the erection signage as shown in the location plan, elevational plans and signage details date stamped 12th August 2003 and the letter received 10th October 2003.
Illumination hours restriction
For reasons of residential amenity none of the signage hereby approved may be illuminated between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00.
