Crown Division Government Offices Douglas Isle of Man IM1 3PN 14^{\text {th }} May 2011 To the Council of Ministers Planning Application Ref: 11/00365/C CSO Ref: DF11/0011 Applicant: Department of Infrastructure (Quarries Section) Application: One year extension to existing planning permission (10/00335/C), Stoney Mountain Quarry, Stoney Mountain Road, Eairy, Isle of Man IM4 3HJ.
The material points are:
Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Building Control:
The approved full extent of the quarry has not been exhausted. This application is sought to be able to quarry the site beyond the latest approved date which expired in May 2011. The same planning conditions as were previously approved should continue with the modification of planning condition 2 on the decision of 03/1867.
There are no objections to application and it is considered the continued working of the quarry for a further year would not have any adverse impact on those living and working in the vicinity of the site.
As a result of my site visit and consideration of the evidence submitted, I consider that no harm would arise from the continuation of quarry operations for a further year.
I judge that the planning condition suggested by Planning and Building Control is sufficient.
