P.O. BOX NO. 2, TOWN HALL, RIDGEWAY STREET, DOUGLAS, ISLE OF MAN, IM99 1AD TELEPHONE: (01624) 696300 The Council has requested further information after safety concerns were raised over the suitability of the bridge for cyclists and the lack of segregation between cyclists and other road users.
The Council would also like to see expert comment from the Highways Officer relating to the concerns we have raised over the design of the road layout for the bridge and how these perceived issues could put cyclists at risk, especially young people that are being encouraged as part of the Island’s Active Travel Strategy to cycle along the new cycle routes from South Douglas to Ballakermeen and St Nininians High Schools.
If you require any further information or have any questions relating to the content of this letter please do not hesitate to get back to me at your earliest convenience. I would also appreciate if you could let me know if there are any reasons why a period of additional time cannot be provided on the application I have highlighted.
Yours sincerely,
S Salter Dilapidation Enforcement Officer Direct Line: 01624 696394 E mail: [email protected]
