Date: 21 January 2021 12:28:55 Hi Lucy Our Board have no objections to this application, there were comments regarding having two meter boxes on the front of the property, however we understand from Manx Utilities that unless it is a designated conservation area then they require them to be on the front for safety and access reasons. Oh super, thank you Hayley. I’ll keep the application to one side for the time being.
I hope you’re all doing well down in the deep south!

Dear Darleen
I am just writing the report for the above application 20/01450/B and note that the Commissioners are not due to meet next until the end of this month, but it’s not quite clear whether a deferral is formally being requested or not. It makes reference to the Department keeping the Commissioners in the loop as to the progress of applications (perhaps to avoid any time wasted by the Commissioners discussing an application if it has already been determined?).
Ideally I would like to proceed to a decision on this application in the next few days, but if a formal request for a deferral is being sought I will happily keep the application to one side to allow time for the Commissioners to meet.
If you could let me know whether you would like the application deferred or whether the Commissioners would be happy for me to progress to a decision that would be most helpful.
Kind regards Lucy Miss Lucy Kinrade Planning Officer Planning & Building Control Directorate (DEFA) Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas Isle of Man
