Environment Policy 35
Requires that within Conservation Areas, only development which preserves or enhances the character or appearance of the Area is permitted, protecting special features. The officer assessed the uPVC replacement against this, finding it acceptable despite normal concerns, due to the poor existing porch and local precedents, resulting in a neutral effect on character.
General Policy 2
Permits development in accordance with zoning and other policies if it respects site/surroundings in scale, design, does not adversely affect townscape character, residential amenity, highways, etc. The proposal was found to meet these criteria, particularly in terms of townscape character and amenity, with no adverse impacts identified.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
