THE PROPOSAL: Registered Building consent to form new internal doorway between entrance lobby and reception room.
REPRESENTATIONS Ramsey Town Commissioners have no objection to the proposal. ASSESSMENT: As the property is a Registered Building (RB 152) the content of this application has been considered with particular regard to POLICY RB/5 ALTERATIONS AND EXTENSIONS as set out within Planning Policy Statement 1/01- Policy and Guidance Notes for the Conservation of the Historic Environment of the Isle of Man.
This application continues from where the last one (09/01314/CON) left off. In creating the Cupboard in the previous application, the Entrance Lobby arrangement needed to be amended. Given the lack of original detailing in this particular building, such a change is not overly contentious.
In conclusion, these new proposals amend those previously approved under 08/00005/GB and 08/00006/CON and 09/01314/CON. In doing so, they are considered to have little or no more impact on the character of the Registered Building.
