PA09/001524/B; 2 Willow Terrace, Shore Road, Port St Mary Applicant: Ms G Wheeler Proposal: Installation of replacement windows

The above application was considered by Port St Mary Commissioners at their Board Meeting on 21st October 2009. The Commissioners have no objection to the installation of double glazing outlined in PA09/001524/B but believe it would be in keeping with the multi pane style of the existing glazing to the front elevation of the property and that of its immediate neighbours, the 12 pane per window opening style was retained. It is stated in drawing 61.1.09 that white pvc double glazed sash windows are proposed – it is suggested that the number of panes in each window unit (i.e 12) be clearly stated in any approval.

The application itself does not detail the number of windows to be replaced however it is noted that the plans indicate that 4 velux type attic windows in the front elevation are to be replaced. It is not clear whether permission to replace all 5 windows to the front elevation is being sought but this has been assumed. Furthermore, as no rear elevation plan is submitted it was noted that no windows at the rear of the property are covered by this application.
