Dear Ms Callow Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following planning applications in Rushen and their views are:- a) 09/1500. Robin Hill Farm, Cronk-e-Dhooney, Ballakilpheric, Mr \& Mrs MacQuillan. Conversion of existing disused 2 storey barn into 2 holiday units. No objections. b) 09/1538. Mona Rushen Rechabite Hall, The Level. Mr \& Mrs N Goldsmith. Remove pitched roof from existing detached garage and replace with flat roof with decking terrace over, extending to dwelling at first floor level by means of a new balcony. No objections. c) 09/1570. 2 Grenea Cottages, Shore Road, Kentraugh, Mr \& Mrs S Perren. Improvements to elevational treatment and replace existing roof profiles with a new roof.
The design of the proposed roof is completely out of keeping with the neighbouring properties and unsuitable for this area in particular. Whilst it is agreed that some of the properties in this row of houses are in need of having work done to them, including this property, this proposal - both design and height, are unacceptable. Recommend refusal. d) 09/1639. Field 414487 Ballakilpheric, Mr C Bateson. Agricultural storage shed. The Commissioners question the need for this shed, stated as being for agricultural use for sheep/livestock, storage for feed and equipment. The field as shown is only small and there is no indication nor mention of a holding anywhere else which would justify having such a shed. If it is intended for keeping livestock it is not really suitable as there is no ventilation other than leaving the up and over door open. Perhaps further inquiries should be made as regards the extent of any landholding associated with the business so that necessity could be gauged.
e) 09/1617. Cooil Aalin, Ballagale Avenue, Surby, Mr \& Mrs E Looney. Extensions and alterations. No objections.
