Paragraph 9.16, Planning Circular 6/89
Requires alterations or extensions in the conservation area to be carried out in a manner sympathetic to the existing building and its setting. The officer tested the replacement windows, doors, slate roof, rendering, rooflights and chimney reduction against this, finding them sympathetic and inkeeping with the character of the property and area.
