Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following planning applications in Rushen and their views are:-
a) 09/0622. Sunnyholme, Ballafesson Road. Mrs Pauline Hancock. Demolition of existing dormer bungalow and erection of replacement dormer bungalow.
The proposed new dwelling, which looks more like a two storey house rather than a 'dormer bungalow' is considered to be totally inappropriate for the site. It is overdevelopment of the site, especially compared to the existing property, and will be considerably higher than the neighbouring properties. The house will be closer to neighbouring properties and, as such, will be intrusive and overbearing for those properties.
The Commissioners have received letters from the neighbours on both sides and they agree with all that they have said. Recommend refusal. b) 09/0663. Lhagagh, The Level, Colby. Mr W Hodgett. Replacement white pvc casement windows to front downstairs windows.
No objections.
c) 09/0779. Newholme, Ballagawne Road. Mr & Mrs Hudson. Demolition of existing inferior structure garage and outbuildings and re-building on same site.
No objections.
d) 09/0806. Majolica, Ballagawne Road. Mr & Mrs J Brewis. Approval In Principle to erect a two storey house in the rear garden.
No objections.
