Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meeting on the 22nd April 2009.
The Commissioners had no objection to the following planning applications:
- PA09 00381 B - Mr and Mrs Griffin - Erection of a replacement dwelling and garage - Ballawyllin Beg East Baldwin
- PA09 00384 - Mr and Mrs Hotchiss - Erection of a single storey timber framed glazed orangery - Wingfield Park Quines Hill Port Soderick
- PA09 00385 - Martia Ltd - Proposed conversion of redundant barns to 4No holiday cottages - 'Ard Ny Mara' Old Castletown Road Braddan
- PA09 00461 B - J C Hurst - Erection of a timber building to be used as a farm shop - Hampton Court Quines Hill Port Soderick
- PA09 00538 - Mr R Morris - New garage and workshop - Ardwhallin House West Baldwin
The Commissioners would object to the following Planning Applications:
- PA09 00400 B - Mr and Mrs K Williams - Erection of a replacement dwelling - Dreemlang Marine Drive Port Soderick. The application appeared to be in breach of HP14 in terms of the major increase in floor area, and whilst they didn't disagree with the principle of redevelopment, it did appear to be over intensive.
- PA09 00460 - Celtic House - Creation of a Lay-By - Fairways Drive Mount Murray. There appeared to be no justification to build a large car park for 12 residents of the area so that they can feed the wildlife, given that it was aimed at residents, there is a large car park at the hotel and a small lay-by would seem to be more appropriate.
The Commissioners would comment on the following Planning Applications:
- PA09 00472 B - Mr Martin Walters - Alterations and extensions to dwelling - Virginia Barn Mount Rule. The Board did not object to the proposal but they were under the impression that there was a previous understanding that the property was not to be developed any further.
- PA09 00551 - Heritage Homes Ltd - Lowering of dwelling floor - Residential development adjacent to Island House. The Board had previously supported this application but there was some concern that the changes to the pathway at the rear of the property meant that the bins had to be moved a long distance to be put out for collection.
Planning Application for Express Consent
The Commissioners would object to the following Planning Application:
- PA09 00543 - Dandara Commercial - 2No. Elevated Boards - Field 524153 Middle Farm Kewaigue. The sign was seen as over intrusive in the open countryside and out of keeping with the situation.
