General Policy 2
Requires development in accordance with zoning and Area Plans, respecting site and surroundings in siting, layout, scale, form, design; not adversely affecting townscape character, local amenities, or providing satisfactory standards including access. The officer concluded the proposal complies with relevant Strategic Plan policies including GP2, as it respects the Conservation Area townscape and has no amenity impacts.

Tested against the light well and glazed rooflight's impact; officer found it preserves character, with no greater/lesser impact than prior approved modest works replicating No. 3 alterations.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
