15/00397/B Tree Mast Site Tower Farm Mountain Road Ramsey Isle Of Man MAUGHOLD Installation of antenna on existing tree mast, installation of 1.8m satellite dish and installation of two wall mounted antennas
The site is visible from my own home and the town generally and I regularly walk in the area.
There are 2 existing masts in the area which have prior approval. Whilst the initial idea of providing a “mock tree” to locate radio and other equipment on was commendable it is clear that lack of maintenance has resulted in the trees failing to achieve their purpose, and also resulted in the littering of the fields and adjoining woodland with non-degradable litter in the form of fallen and broken branches. The attached images show some examples of the damage caused, this litter also I imaging has the potential to injure grazing animals.
If consent is to be given to extend the use of these masts then some mechanism must be employed to ensure that their visual appearance is maintained, they are regularly maintained and that any litter emanating is removed.
Kind regards
