Planning Statement Variation Condition 1
Planning Statement in support of Variation of Condition 1, PA 10/00133/REM Reserved Matters application for erection of a dwelling on land adjacent Ballachree Cottage, Churchtown, Ramsey
Mr Cleaveland Perry purchased the plot of land known as Ballachree Cottage, Churchtown, Ramsey off the original applicant, Mr Alan Kermode, in November 2014. In addition to the plot of land highlighted in red on Carl Jenkins Design Location Plan, numbered 2015/06/01, he also purchased a couple of agricultural fields associated with the plot and an outbuilding, highlighted in blue on the Location Plan.
It is Mr Perry’s intention to build a new residential property on the site to enable him and his wife to move closer to Ramsey where all of their four children live. Mr & Mrs Perry currently live in Peel and travel daily to Ramsey where they own the Fettanta hardware shop located in the centre of Ramsey. It is Mr Perry’s intention to build the new property and re-locate to Ballachree Cottage as part of his retirement plans to enable them to see more of the grand children and also be closer to their family members as they get older.
The original reserved matters planning application was submitted by Hugh Logan Architects on behalf of the then owner, Mr Kermode. Permission has been granted by Hugh Logan Architects for use of their drawings in this planning submission for the Variation of Planning Condition 1 and we enclose the relevant copies of drawings submitted as part of the original application. We also submit a copy of the Independent Planning Inspector’s report from the original application.
The new owner, Mr Cleaveland Perry would like to extend the timescale for the original planning approval to enable him to commence works in the near future. The sale of the land was completed in November last year and this has given Mr Perry very limited time in order to make a meaningful start of the construction works. By extending the reserved matters planning approval then Mr Perry can arrange the necessary financial packages and obtain the relevant Building Regulation approvals before commencing works on-site.
