Waste Policy 1
Requires acknowledged need per Waste Strategy plus no unacceptable impacts on amenity, environment, heritage, highways etc. Officer found no specific need for organic AD but approved on balance due to energy recovery aligning with Strategy's waste hierarchy, recycling promotion, and self-sufficiency, with no unacceptable impacts from re-using existing building in quarry.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
No public civic amenity site
No approval is hereby granted to the creation of a civic amenity site whereby the public may bring waste items to the site. Reason: in the interests of highway and pedestrian safety.
No stockpiling
No approval is hereby granted to the stockpiling of any materials either at the start, during or the end of the process. If there is to be any outside storage of materials in association with the proposal, this must be the subject of further plans to be approved by the Department before any such storage occurs and the storage undertaken in accordance with the approved scheme. Reason: in the interests of reducing adverse visual and odour impact.
