The site, which currently receives inert and mixed Construction & Demolition waste, operated under Planning Approval (12/01671/9) which required landfilling operations to cease by 31st December 2019 and for the site to be restored by 31st December 2020 (condition 2).
Since the Planning Approval was granted, inputs to the site have been lower than predicted and void space remains unfilled.
The Department of Infrastructure therefore requests retrospective and ongoing approval to extend the time for landfilling operations until 31st December 2030, with a further one year to enable the restoration scheme to be completed by 31st December 2031. The permitted input rate and waste type are to remain unchanged.
