WE ARE PROPOSING TO OPERATE A LUXURY/BOUTIQUE NON-SERVICED SHEPHERD HUT/ DISABILITY ROUNDHOUSE GLAMPING BUSINESS WITH UPTO SIX HUTS, TWO INITIAL SHEPHERD HUTS, FOLLOWED BY A DISABILITY ROUNDHOUSE. OUR PLAN IS TO EXPAND TO A TOTAL OF FOUR SHEPHERD HUTS AND TWO DISABILITY ROUNDHOUSES. In any assessment of this application PLEASE BE AWARE that the Case Officer may undertake to visit the site to ensure 1) the site notice has been correctly placed/erected, 2) check the application content against the proposed work / site levels 3) speak to neighbours, if they feel it relevant, and 4) Take photographs where necessary.

16B How will foul sewage from the proposed development be disposed of? We propose to position the septic tanks in the field in front of the shepherd huts (see Isle of Man Government MAP attached of location of site). This will be a matter for the Building Regulations in accordance with any recommendations from the ground worker and Building Control and we will take their advice on exactly where to position the tanks in the field as there is plenty of acreage.
The site is sloping downwards away from the trees so we hope this falling gradient will facilitate the run-off for the septic tanks and tail drains. The septic tank covers will probably have to be fenced off from any grazing animals which normally graze this field regularly.
