General Policy 2
General Policy 2 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan permits development in accordance with land-use zoning if it respects site surroundings, does not adversely affect amenity, road safety, or traffic flows, and provides safe access. The officer tested the temporary car park against this, confirming compliance with 'Mixed Use' zoning, adequate visibility splays for highway safety, no significant amenity harm due to separation from homes and prior school use, and appropriateness near town centre.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

This approval relates to the formation and operation of a public car park following the demolition of school building as proposed in the submitted documents and drawings 01, 08 and 08 REV 1 all received on 10th February 2011.
