Dear Marie,
Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to planning applications considered by them at their meeting on the 18th April 2013
The Commissioners had no objections to the following Planning Applications :-
PA13 00329 B - Restart Court - Erection of mast and telecommunication equipment/antenna - Isle of Man Business Park Braddan PA13 00354 B - Jeffrey Norman Moore McCubbin - Erection of a porch - Ballaslig Farmhouse Old Castletown Road Braddan PA13 00376 B - Mr Roger Leece - Conversion of existing out building into a dwelling - Riversdale Strang Road Union Mills Braddan PA13 00377 C - Agriculture House - Change of use of entire upper floor to general office use - Ballafletcher Farm Road Cronkbourne Braddan PA13 00381 B - Mr John and Mrs Dawn Quinn - Erection of a first floor extension over existing garage - 15 Ballanawin Strang Braddan
PA13 00399 B – Mr and Mrs B Woodard - Alterations, erection of extension and installation of replacement windows and doors to dwelling - Beaconsfield Cottage Richmond Hill Braddan
PA13 00428 C - Mr D O'Toole - Additional use of dwelling as tourist accommodation - 11 Ballacottier Meadow Braddan
PA13 00386 B - Jojay Ltd - Erection of seventeen general industrial units with associated external works including storm and foul drainage systems, to include modifications to site entrance off Peel Road - Land adjacent to BCS House Peel Road
The Commissioners did not wish to object to the principle behind the application but were concerned about the sight lines.
They felt that no concessions should be given to the statutory standards. In particular, the eastward road heading from the site toward the roundabout, is given as 90m, whereas statute dictates this to be 120m. They would also ask that these sight lines are physically checked rather than taken from the drawings.
I trust the above meets with your Committees' approval.
Yours sincerely
Phil
