The Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005
On 19th February 2013, and in pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order, the Department of Infrastructure determined to APPROVE planning application 12/01679/B by Manx Telecom for the installation of telecommunications equipment at Ship Inn Hope Street Castletown Isle Of Man IM9 1AS subject to compliance with the following conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This permission relates to the installation of telecommunications equipment as shown in drawing numbers THE SHIP INN/001 A, THE SHIP INN/002 D and THE SHIP INN/003 D date stamped 19th December 2012, and Site Specific Supplementary Information Statement and appendices dated stamped 19th December, Declaration of Conformity with ICNIRP Public Exposure Guidelines dated 18th October 2012.
- Within one month of the antennas and their supporting structures being installed, they shall be colour coated to match the existing render of the chimney stack. Any replacement or modification shall be colour coated to match within one month of it being carried out.
- In the event of the antennas erected under this approval becoming redundant, they must be taken down along with all ancillary infrastructure and be removed from the site within 3 months of the cessation of the use. Any necessary repair work to the chimney stack, as a result of any damage caused by installation of the antennas, must also be carried out.

This decision was made by a Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to them. This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005. Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

Please note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision, together with correspondence relative to the application, are available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
If no appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
Please note that if the counter copy of the application is not collected within THIRTY DAYS following the last date on which a planning appeal can be made it will be destroyed without further notice.
