The original application for alterations and erection of an extension to the Methodist Chapel was refused on 13.10.2010. Crosby Methodist Church, via secretary Mrs E Creer and agent Partington Nixon & Kinrade, lodged appeal AP10/0160 under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005. The appeal was accepted by the Minister and referred to an independent inspector appointed by the Council of Ministers, with provisions for written and oral representations. The Chief Secretary's Office requested the Department's statement of case by 1st December 2010 and noted a potential inquiry. However, the appellant's agent advised on 25th November 2010 that the client wished to withdraw the appeal request. Consequently, the original refusal decision stands.
Precedent Value
This appeal sets no planning precedent due to withdrawal before any substantive consideration or hearing. Future applicants should ensure commitment to pursuing appeals to avoid wasted procedural steps.
