General Policy 2
Sets out standards of development. Very few parts directly applicable as the proposed mobile classroom is nowhere near other property nor visible from the highway. The officer assessed that the proposal meets the relevant standards due to its location and minimal impact.
Community Policy 5
Permission will generally be given for proposals to improve or extend existing schools, subject to siting and design in accordance with other policies, with regard to community use and open space. The officer found the temporary classroom acceptable as it improves school facilities for special needs, is well-sited alongside the existing building with low visual impact, and aligns with policy support for educational extensions.
Time limit for commencement
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Approved plans
This permission relates to the installation of a mobile classroom as shown in drawings 1400.98.01 and 1400.98.02A both received on 1st November, 2012.
Temporary permission and removal
The classroom may remain in place for a temporary period expiring on 31st July, 2017 after which time it must be removed from the site unless otherwise approved in writing by the Planning Authority.
