Housing Policy 15
Housing Policy 15 states that extensions or alterations to existing traditionally styled properties in the countryside will normally only be approved where they respect the proportion, form and appearance of the existing property, and only exceptionally where they measure more than 50% of the existing building in terms of floor space. The officer calculated the conservatory as 7.2% of the current floor area (11% over original), following prior approved extensions from 14 years ago, finding it compliant and respectful of the extended form. No tension noted as the scale was well below the threshold and visually screened.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
