In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Regulations the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Middlemarch Ltd Proposal: Erection of five advertising hoardings (retrospective) at: Site located at junction of Lord Street, Walpole Avenue and Bath Place Douglas Isle of Man which was considered on 12th July 2010, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 13th July 2010

REASONS FOR REFUSAL:
- The continued display of the advertisements would be contrary to General Policy 2 and General Policy 7 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 by reason of their siting, design, materials and prominent location which results in the introduction of additional clutter into the street scene, and is of serious detriment of the visual amenities of the locality.
This decision was made by the Senior Planning Officer under the authority delegated by the Department under Regulation 6(2) of the Control of Advertisements Regulations 2005.

- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later. Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
