Environment Policy 32
Prohibits extensions or alterations to Registered Buildings that detrimentally affect their special architectural or historic interest. Officer assessed the railings, gates, light well and landscaping; found no detrimental effect, instead an enhancement by replacing modern railings with traditional style more suited to the building and terrace.
General Policy 2
Requires developments not to adversely affect townscape character or amenity of residents/locality. Proposal deemed to have positive effect on streetscape and no adverse amenity impacts, satisfying relevant criteria (c) and (g).
Time limit
