Douglas Borough Council acts as the Drainage agent for the Department of Transport, under the Sewerage Act 1999

Surface water Disposal There must be NO discharge of surface water (directly or indirectly) from the proposed works to any piped drainage systems connecting to the public sewer network, so as to comply with the requirements of the Department of Transport Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999.
