General Policy 6
GP6 permits external advertisements in towns and villages if they are high standard design/material relating well to the building/site, in keeping without detracting from the area, and not causing highway safety hazards. The officer assessed the PVC signs with yellow/blue colours as similar to existing terrace signage, relating acceptably to the building despite limited attractiveness, in keeping with the commercial streetscene, and safe per consultees.
General Policy 7
GP7 generally does not permit advertisements on sites/buildings other than those they relate to. The signage is directly on the subject building for 'The Happy Eater' hot food takeaway, so fully compliant with no off-site elements proposed.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
