Dog Agility Planning Statement
Dog Agility training will be for private/personal use & will not be used by any trade, business or dog training club. Training with the agility equipment would be restricted to:- no later than 9pm or sunset on weekdays which ever is the earlier. Between 9am & 6pm or sunset on Saturdays whichever is earlier. Between 10am & 4pm on Sundays & bank holidays.
The agility equipment is of low level height only 3 pieces of equipment when set up may be visible from the road. 2 being approx. 1.25m in height, the other approx. 1m, all the other equipment is lower in height.
The stable is to provide a store for the agility equipment and keep the field tidy, as a shelter for sheep & lambs during lambing and other periods as required, also to store associated equipment, produce & feed. The stable would also provide collection of rainwater from the roof for supply to the livestock as there is currently no water supply. The stable is to be open plan so as to allow division by removable sheep hurdles allowing 6-8 pens of approx. 2m x 2m to accommodate 1 sheep & it's lambs per pen.
The agility equipment to be stored includes jumps comprising 2 wings & a pole, collapsible tunnels, accessories, A-frame, seesaw & dog walk. The last 3 pieces of equipment dismantle to 6 flat planks 100mm thick measuring between 30cm & 100cm wide & between 275cm & 375m long not including the seesaw base & trestles. I estimate a floor space of approx 5m x 3m would be required to store the equipment & enable individual pieces to be easily accessible.
Hedging to be planted to the rear of the stable adjacent to the Ballavarran Road will include Blackthorn, Hawthorn & Dog Rose. The trees planted along the side of the stable will be Andrew Johnson & Manx Codlin (manx native apple trees).
