Hi Malcolm,
Yes this correct the manhole highlighted will have a hydrobrake. If you scroll through the drainage drawings there is a large scale plan that confirms this. Exact below.
With regards the velocity of the headwall this is confirmed on the headwall drawing as 1.29m/s. Exact also below.
Regards
John

Hi John,
Thanks, I assume there is a more detailed plan somewhere. The snip of the drawing below only shows one pipe into the attenuation tank I assume the hydrobreak is in the MH highlighted and only allows a certain flow forwards rest goes into tank and is released later what flow recedes? So just to double check the velocity of the water heading to the outfall is no greater than 1.5m/s?
Kind regards,
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

John.

Hi John,
I have been trying to find the drainage plan amongst the documents or the original application without look could you please send it through. I am just trying to see what is feeding into the pipe is it just from the attenuation tank or is it taking any direct runoff?
Kind regards,
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm
I was just chasing this information from the engineers morning, might get something this afternoon, failing that it will be early next week.
This info should address the queries raised including the angled headwall.
Regards
John.

Hi John,
I am being chased on the discharge of this condition. Have you sent through any information on the section 20 application apologies if you already have. I would like to see what the velocity of discharge is and if energy dissipation is required. Also could the head wall be angled downstream slightly.
Kind regards,
Malcolm

Good morning Malcom,
Further to my consultation sent on 14.04.2025, please could you take a look at the information that has been provided in relation to the below:
25/10051/AIR Information in relation to condition 19 of PA 22/00675/B providing details for the construction of the headwall:
https://pbc.gov.im/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=SUPMJWIP0EE00
The condition states:
Work shall not commence on construction of the headwall for the outfall to the River Glass until full details, including facing materials, have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Department. Development shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details.
Reason: In the interest of visual amenity and to prevent increased risk of flooding and pollution.
Can you please confirm if you are happy with what has been provided so that I can now finalise the report?
Thank so much.
