From: Webster, Richard To: DEFA, Planning Cc: Kelly, Catherine (DOI) Subject: RE: 7 Feb 2025 weekly planning application list HDC return (to upload on the portal for each application) Date: 11 February 2025 12:34:14 Hello,
From the Planning List week beginning 7 Feb 2025 and excluding planning applications with suffix ‘CON’, ‘AIR’ and re-consultations, the following new planning applications have highway related impacts and will be subject to a separate response:
25/90124/C 25/90132/B
The following planning applications have no significant negative impact upon the highway network in terms of highway safety, highway operation and car parking. Highway Services HDC does not oppose (DNO) the following applications. Advisory comments are applied where relevant, such as for licences to use the highway for equipment and material during works:
24/91266/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the boundary wall and rear raised decking boundary would offer better visibility onto the highway than the existing hedge and rear boundary, and no vehicular accesses are proposed impacted by the boundary proposals. 25/90098/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. A S109 highway agreement will be required for an extension to the dropped kerb to facilitate the extended driveway. 25/90107/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking, however the front boundary wall should be no higher than 0.6m in height for access visibility reasons due to the steep driveway – this should be shown on a revised plan or conditioned on permission. 25/90110/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking providing all new living accommodation on the site remains ancillary to the existing dwelling via condition (for highway safety reasons). 25/90121/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the site is in the commercial centre of Douglas with public parking available and loading/unloading for the unit can be completed adjacent to the unit. 25/90133/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking. A S109 highway agreement will be required for an extension to the dropped kerbs to facilitate the widened driveway.

25/90145/B – After reviewing this Application, Highway Services HDC finds it to have no significant negative impact upon highway safety, network functionality and/or parking as the propose use would have a similar or less parking demand compared to the existing use.
Highway Services HDC has no interest (NHI) in:
24/91376/B 24/91392/B 25/00021/D 25/90039/B 25/90063/B 25/90064/B 25/90094/B 25/90102/B 25/90108/B 25/90111/C 25/90113/B 25/90115/B 25/90120/B 25/90122/B 25/00123/D 25/90125/B 25/90126/B 25/90127/B 25/90128/B 25/90131/C 25/90142/B 25/90148/B
Please could you upload these responses while the new planning portal is being implemented as we do not have a HDC account yet.
