General Policy 2
Requires general design standards including (b) scale and character, (c) relationship to surroundings, (d) visual impact, (g) landscaping, (h) amenity, (i) public realm. Officer assessed the small-scale hardstanding as having acceptable visual impact, matching adjacent materials, and not harming surroundings due to retained grassed areas.
Strategic Policy 4
Protects and enhances landscape and nature conservation value, particularly (b). Proposal does not undermine Nobles Park open space nor unacceptably harm urban landscape given small area affected and civic use designation.
Transport Policy 5
Supports TT and Manx Grand Prix related uses in Nobles Park with protection to open space and recreational facilities. Directly supports the winners enclosure enhancement for racing periods while retaining surrounding grass.
