1.0 Description
1.1 The proposed application 24/00299/CON was approved at Planning Committee on 08.07.2024 for Registered Building Consent for demolition elements to 24/00298/B subject to 2 conditions one of which required submission of additional information prior to the commencement of works.
1.2 This report is specific to Condition 2 which the applicants are seeking to satisfy.
1.3 Specific wording of the condition as follows:
'C2. Development shall not commence until a programme of historic building recording of Eastfield House has been undertaken and submitted to and agreed in writing by the Department. The programme of building recording must be undertaken in accordance with

Reason: To ensure and safeguard the recording and inspection of matters of historical importance that will be lost in the course of works.'
2.0 Proposal
2.1 The applicant's agent has submitted Eastfield Mansion House - Photographic Survey and Evidence Record RevA- 2024.09.24. This document provides a programme of building recording at level two as set out in Understanding Historic Buildings: A guide to good recording practice. Included in the document are numbered photographs of the interior and exterior of the property as well as floor plans and a site plans with the numbers corresponding to the photo to show where the photo was taken. At the request of the registered building officer, the site plan was included to show the orientation of the building within the site to better understand where the building sat within the site once demolished.
3.0 Recommendation
3.1 In the instance of the submitted Eastfield Mansion House - Photographic Survey and Evidence Record RevA- 2024.09.24 and after consultation with the case officer, who are happy with the level of detail, it is deemed sufficient and would be considered satisfactory for planning condition 2 of application 24/00299/CON.
